Appointment Changes – Effective 1 April 2022

We’d like to advise that from Friday 1 April 2022, we will be changing our appointments system at the practice.

We will be offering patients a choice of appointment type, face-to-face or telephone, with our GPs or Advanced Nurse Practitioners at the Practice.

Face-to-face appointments will be available to book up to 3 days in advance either via telephone with the non-clinical team or via Online Services.

Our non-clinical team may recommend an appointment type dependent on the nature of your problem, this is to ensure you are consulted by the most appropriate clinician via the most appropriate method but ultimately it is the patient’s choice and may request either appointment type.

To help our GPs, please could we ask that when booking your appointment via Online Services you write a brief description of why you require a face-to-face appointment in the appointment details.

We hope that by offering a combination of telephone and face-to-face appointments (some of which being pre-bookable) will improve patients’ access to GPs.

If you wish to cancel an appointment, please call 01332 523300 and press option 2

If you wish to request a call back which will save you holding on the phone please press option 0 and you will receive a call back automatically keeping your place in the call que.  If you have chosen this option and you miss the call the system will not try again.

If you are expecting a telephone consultation, please be advised the clinician will try a maximum of three times to reach you.  After this time, you will need to call to rearrange your appointment.   If you are working and can only take calls at a specific time, please advise the call operator if making the appointment via the telephone.
