You may request repeat prescriptions until your doctor requests a review.
Please bring or post the computerised tear-off slip provided with your prescription. Tick only those items required and allow two working days before collection.
Your local Pharmacy may be able to collect and deliver your prescription. To help us run this service smoothly please let us know which pharmacy you have arranged delivery with and we will mark this on our computer system.
We also have a lockable prescription box in Sinfin outside reception where you can post your tear-off request slip. This is checked every day.
Please allow an extra day when ordering your prescriptions on a Bank Holiday. If you order your prescriptions on Friday they will not be ready to collect until Wednesday morning.
Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).
The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
View information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website.
