We have had confirmation from Seqirus today that unfortunately our influenza vaccination deliveries have been delayed by 1 week. Unfortunately this does mean that we have had to postpone our first ‘flu clinic scheduled for Saturday 2 October 2021. All patients who booked an appointment for Saturday 2 October 2021 will have been informed via SMS message or telephone of their new appointment date.
We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
Influenza Vaccination Update – 3 September 2021
As you may have seen in the media recently: www.bbc.co.uk we have received notification from Seqirus, our influenza vaccination provider, that due to unforeseen road freight challenges there may be a 1 – 2 week delay in the delivery of our vaccinations. This is affecting GP Practices across the country and unfortunately is out of our hands, we have been informed that we will get 7 days’ notice of the new delivery date.
With over 1000 patients booked into our ‘flu clinics already from 2 October 2021, the last thing our team want to do is inconvenience you by trying to cancel and move your appointment at present. We have decided to keep the planned clinics as is during October 2021 at present, if nearer the time we need to move your appointment we will contact you directly.
Please could we ask that you do not contact the Practice about this as will impact on other patients trying to get through for our other services, we will keep you updated via our practice website and social media once we have more information. Thank you for your understanding.
