As we enter the winter period, we know that some of our residents are more likely to experience uncertainty and challenging circumstances. Whilst many will have access to good support networks, others may feel isolated or vulnerable with little existing knowledge of local services.
We are offering a single point of contact for Derby City residents through Derby Direct. The contact number is 01332 640000. The service is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. A text service is available for the deaf community on 07774333412. A friendly call handler will be able to offer a range of information and advice to residents struggling to access everyday essentials, such as food or warmth, or experiencing financial difficulty as a result of COVID-19.
